“This isn’t National Security. It’s personal.” “This is the agency! Nothing is personal…” Showtime unveiled a second trailer for a clandestine thriller series The Agency, arriving to watch later this month. Another spy series about the dangerous world of undercover agents. This psychological thriller series stars Michael Fassbender as the agent at the center of the story, which makes this feel like a continuation of Fincher’s The Killer movie. Based on the French series The Bureau (2015), and created by writers Jez & John-Henry Butterwort, The Agency is an espionage thriller set in the department responsible for training and handling deep-cover agents on long-term missions who live under false identities for years. The character Martian (Fassbender) is ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are now pitted against his heart; hurling them both right into a deadly game. The series co-stars Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Harriet Sansom Harris, Reza Brojerdi, & Richard Gere. This is looking very good. // Continue Reading ›
