The Storybook Vale is an upcoming expansion pass of Disney Dreamlight Valley. It is the second expansion of the game coming out next week on November 20, 2024. It was initially revealed during the Showcase Stream on October 29, showing the new Island with all three main biomes, new characters, and new features. With all the information disclosed during the Showcase, we have figured out the main story plot of Storybook Vale DLC. In this article, we will be telling you the main plot of the Storybook Vale DLC so you know what kind of content you are getting into when the DLC goes live.

Main Story Plot of Storybook Vale DLC – Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Storybook Vale DLC takes place on a brand-new floating Island. For those who don’t know, the original Valley Island is also a floating island and it is in the sky. This new expansion island is even above Valley Island which players will travel to during the initial quest of the new expansion.

Before we talk about our character’s role on the new island, let’s discuss what went wrong on this island. Initially, the new island was a place where all the stories lived. However, during the Forgetting in the Valley, two of Disney’s biggest villains, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and Hades from Hercules stole the island and took it away. They ruled the island peacefully for a while but their Alliance did not last long. Their struggle to control the island disrupts the island and tears the magical Lorekeeper Book.

After these tragic events, this is where you and the players come to this new island to restore the magic once again in this new world. Throughout the whole new journey, your main guide will be the Lorekeeper Book. It is an enchanted talking book that keeps all the stories about the island. However, due to the clash between Maleficent and Hades, a lot of Lorekeeper Book’s pages are scattered throughout the island. These book pages have shaped themselves as various types of critters which you have to catch using a new tool, Royal Net.

As you catch these pages, you have to bring them back to the Lorekeeper Book to restore the stories.

Meeting New Characters in Your Adventure to Pursue their Unique Questlines

During your hunt for the pages, you will meet new characters while discovering the island’s biomes. Every new character will have a unique questline that will allow you to undertake new challenges and discover more mysteries. The first character that you will meet is Merida in the Bind biome, the same biome where you will discover the Lorekeeper Book. As you meet Merida, you will come to know that she is looking for a lost treasure connected to her family clan, DunBroch.

The second character that you will meet is Flynn Rider in the Everafter biome. His questline will include you performing a heist with him instead of him helping you in restoring magic to the world.

The third character that you will meet is Hades in the Mythopia biome. His questline is unsure at the moment but there is a disclaimer to his character that it can manipulate you. There is a chance that you might have to make some critical choices to not become a minion of Hades during his questline.

Lastly, as you approach the end of Part 1 of Storybook Vale, you will encounter Maleficent but only for a short time.
