Sony has slashed the price of PS5 Slim consoles until December 24, 2024. Announcing the news in a marketing video, the company revealed a starting price of $379.99 for the cheaper digital variant. That’s $70 knocked off the price tags.
Where to buy PS5 at the new discounted price
The price cut should begin rolling out anytime now, starting with Sony’s official PS Direct store. However, retailers adjust their prices accordingly so if you don’t want to purchase from PS Direct, keep an eye out on retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and GameStop.
It goes without saying that the PS5 Pro is not included in this offer.
As for accessories including the DualSense and PS Portal, Sony hasn’t announced anything yet but expect some Black Friday deals to be revealed in due course. At least two Black Friday offers have already leaked, but we’re expecting a sale on accessories alongside the annual PS Store sale.
PS5 players will certainly benefit from a promotion on the disc drives, and while Sony has yet to fully disclose its holiday 2024 plans, we’d advise keeping expectations in check. Disc drives are in high demand right now and we’re not anticipating a price cut just yet.
