Fisch Aurora Rod Guide

Once you have this rod, you can enjoy a generous boost in luck. It also gives you an increase in the weight the rod can hold, allowing you to catch more legendary and mythical fish, which tend to be heavier.

The rod also gives a 15% increased chance in any fish you catch having the Aurora Mutation. This increases their value by 6.5x and gives them a shiny color. Not to be confused with the shiny mutation, as that’s different!

How To Obtain

You can purchase the Aurora Rod from Synth’s shop for 90,000C$, which you can find inside Vertigo. Unfortunately, you can only purchase this rod during an Aurora Borealis, which is an event that gives players a 6x luck boost that lasts all night.

To make this happen, you can buy the Aurora Totem (or hope another player does) from the Brine Pool. This will make the Aurora Borealis happen immediately. However, it costs a rather expensive 500,000C$. We also have a Fisch Aurora Totem guide to help.

Getting To Vertigo

You can only get to this location by jumping into a Strange Whirlpool. Luckily, the server lets you know when one appears, so all you have to do is sail the seas until you find it. Once you arrive, jump inside to be transported to Vertigo. The Synth NPC is easy to find, simply follow the marker on your screen that leads you to him.
