PS Stars store credit rewards have been missing for a large number of members for over a week now, but Sony has yet to acknowledge the issue. Wallet Fund rewards were mysteriously wiped out, with some users limited to a single denomination while others had the option revoked altogether. In the absense of an official statement, members are trying to figure out the logic behind the move.

The curious case of missing PS Store credit rewards

Those who contacted PS Support received a variety of non-answers, but all the agent responses had something in common: they claimed that the removal of PS Store Wallet fund rewards was deliberate, not a glitch.

One Reddit user reached out to Sony via email, and received a more formal response implying that the reason behind the inconsistency is that “each person’s rewards catalog is unique based on individual factors.” Although this falls in line with PS Stars terms & conditions, it’s still baffling that there’s no pattern here.

In this Reddit thread, for example, responses from those who had the Wallet fund option removed proves there isn’t any method to this madness. Some are PS Plus members, others aren’t. Some regularly make purchases from the PS Store, others don’t. Some with missing store credit are level 4 while some who have the reward option are level 2.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on this for our readers, but it looks like unless Sony responds, we won’t be able to find any answers.
