Astro Bot sales seem to be off to an excellent start, if data from U.S., U.K., and European markets is anything to go by. Weeks after it was confirmed that the game is outperforming every non-Mario platformer from the last decade in Europe, Circana has confirmed that Astro Bot was the second best-selling game in the U.S. during its launch month.
Astro Bot sales already make it the 25th best-selling game of 2024 in USA
Despite launching in September, Astro Bot’s strong debut resulted in the PS5 exclusive sitting just outside the top 20 best-selling games of 2024 in the U.S. According to Circana’s Mat Piscatella, Astro Bot debuted as the 25th best-selling game.
In its launch month of September, Astro Bot was the second best-selling game (both digital and physical sales included), only behind EA Sports FC 25. This is quite a feat for a single-player platformer that only launched on one gaming system.
With the holiday season coming up, we expect Astro Bot sales to remain strong. It certainly helps that Team Asobi is offering post-launch support in form of free DLC, the first of which is already out. The second of four challege levels will release this Thursday, October 24.
