“Success will mess you up far more than failure.” Madman Films in Australia has posted this official trailer for a music documentary titled Blur: To The End, written as blur: To The End because really the band’s name is all lowercase. This premiered at the 2024 Sheffield DocFest earlier in the year, and already opened in the UK this year. Hopefully in the US soon, too. This new film depicts the extraordinary and emotional return of blur, captured during the year in which they made a surprise return with their first record in 8 years, the critically acclaimed #1 album “The Ballad of Darren“. It is the fourth documentary film about the band after Starshaped (1993), No Distance Left to Run (2010), and New World Towers (2015). So they’re clearly no strangers to making films about being a rock band. Blur took a break after their previous album in 2015 and didn’t re-appear again until 2019/2020 which is when they returned with “The Ballad of Darren”. Reviews say that this rock doc acting as a “spiritual sequel [to No Distance Left to Run] shows a band simply supporting each other.” This looks really good – for Blur fans and for anyone who loves good music. Enjoy. // Continue Reading ›
