Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will not be getting any story DLC. It has also announcing that a PC port is in the works for the hit superhero game.

In a recent blog post on the PlayStation Blog announcing the PC port of the game — which is set to release on January 30, 2025 — Insomniac Games Senior Community Manager Aaron Jason Espinoza confirmed that the team has no plans as of now to release any story DLC for the sequel to the 2018 game.

What did Insomniac Games say about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 story DLC?

“While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’re delighted to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version, including New Game+, new suits and color variants, Photo Mode features, and more,” said Espinoza in the blog post.

The move comes as a bit of a surprise, as the 2018 game not only featured story DLC (in the form of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps), but also a surprise spin-off in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Fans had also discovered plans for what seemed to be a story DLC in the game’s debug menu during a patch to the game earlier this year, as well, but it seems as if Insomniac has scrapped any ideas that they may have had.

For those who have yet to play the game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s PC port will be available in two different editions, including:
