PS5 Pro preorder sales are already topping Amazon charts in various regions despite concerns about its hefty price tag. The $700 mid-gen upgrade remains one of the best-selling video game products in North America and Europe, even touching the no. 1 spot in both regions over the weekend.
PS5 Pro preorder sales indicate a lot of interest in the console
While Amazon isn’t the only retailer to sell the PS5 Pro, it is arguably the most popular one. Over the weekend, X user Zuby_Tech pointed out that the console was the no. 1 best-seller in the video games category in a number of countries including the U.S., U.K., and Japan.
At the time of this writing, PS5 Pro is the 7th best-selling video game product on Amazon U.S., only behind items like gift cards. In the PS5/PS5 Games category, it’s comfortably the no. 1 product.
Do note that these positions change, going up and down periodically throughout the day. But the fact remains that demand for the PS5 Pro is looking good.
We’ve previously seen some bizarre doom-and-gloom claims about the console because it has yet to “sell out.” We’re assuming that the Covid-era stock shortages has some folks convinced that a product has to sell out in order to be considered successful. That’s certainly not the case.
