How to Complete Something’s Off Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
To unlock the Something’s Off quest for Pumbaa, players must first welcome him to the Valley and increase their Friendship to Level 2. Once the quest is available, speak to Pumbaa to initiate the quest.
Ask the Villagers why they left Chez Remy
After starting the quest, go and speak with the following villagers to learn why they left Chez Remy when Pumbaa entered.
Daisy
Elsa
Upon speaking to both of the villagers, find Remy and ask him about Pumbaa’s order at the restaurant.
Cook the meals for Pumbaa
After asking Remy about Pumbaa’s order at the restaurant, make the following meals.
Roasted Asparagus – 1x Asparagus, 1x Canola
Onion Puffs – 1x Onion, 1x Egg, 1x Cheese
Minnie’s Gingerbread Cookies – 1x Wheat, 1x Ginger
Upon making all the meals, bring them to Pumbaa. Go through the dialogues to learn that he wants to take a bath in mud.
Gather materials for Pumbaa’s mud bath
After bringing Pumbaa’s his meals, gather the following materials for his mud bath.
8x Soil – Dig the ground to get soil.
10x Sand – Dig the ground in the Dazzle Beach and Glade of Trust to get Sand.
12x Dry Wood – Spawn near trees in the Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands biomes.
15x Stone – Forage them from the ground or break the rock nodes using the Pickaxe tool.
Craft a Luxury Mud Bath and place it anywhere in the Valley
Upon gathering all the materials, go to the Crafting Station and craft a Luxury Mud Bath. You can find the recipe for Luxury Mud Bath in the Furniture tab of the Crafting Station. Once done, open the Furniture Menu and navigate to the Requests section. Select the Luxury Mud Bath and place it anywhere in the Valley.
Ask for items from Villagers
While Pumbaa taking his bath, go around the Valley and ask the following villagers for the items.
Ask Sulley for toothpaste.
Ask The Beast for a toothbrush.
Ask Minnie Mouse for a breath freshener.
After speaking with the villagers for the items, go and search for the items.
Search the Beast’s and Sulley’s Houses
Go to Beast’s house and pick up the Spare Toothbrush from the table. After that, go to Sulley’s house and pick up the Praying Mint-is Toothpaste from the table. Lastly, go to the Frosted Heights biome and forage 3x Mint from the ground. Once you have gathered all the items, bring them to Pumbaa and go through the dialogues.
Meet Pumbaa inside Chez Remy
After bringing the items to Pumbaa, go to Chez Remy restaurant and meet with Pumbaa. Listen to Pumbaa and Timon’s conversation at the restaurant. Once the conversation is over, speak to Pumbaa to conclude the quest.
Rewards
Completing the Something’s Off quest will give 440 Friendship Points as a reward.
