Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next free update, Jungle Getaway brings a new batch of content revolving around two new characters from The Lion King Realm, Pumbaa and Timon. The update also includes a new Star Path called The Night Show focused on the Rockstar theme items and rewards. Moreover, there are several special collaborated in-game items (backpacks) with Loungefly, and various quality-of-life improvements.
The Jungle Getaway update goes live today, October 9, 2024, at 6 AM (PST), and 2 PM (BST) on all platforms. Recently, the official Patch Notes of Jungle Getaway update was revealed, and it includes various exciting quality-of-life improvements that players will love. All New Content in Jungle Getaway Update
Here is all the new content that players will experience in the Jungle Getaway update.
The Lion King Realm received a full day and night cycle, allowing players to experience the Realm like never before.
Timon and Pumbaa, two new characters have been added to the game, offering new story quests, friendship quests, and unique rewards.
A new Star Path called Night Show has been added that offers Rockstar theme items to help you build a stage, a Rockstar Turtle companion, and several clothing items inspired by Disney Villains, Disney Princess, and rock music.
New collaborated items (backpacks) with Loungefly have been added two of which can be acquired from the Star Path and others from the Premium Shop and redeemable codes.
Trick or Treat in-game event returns to the game from October 23 to 31, offering a brand-new reward.
New weekly rotations for the Premium Shop and new weekly DreamSnaps challenges and rewards.
New batch of items for Scrooge McDuck’s store.
All Quality-of-Life Improvements in Jungle Getaway Update
In addition to the new content in the game, several new quality-of-life improvements have been added.
CONTROLS Update
Players will be able to choose between the free-flowing and the hybrid style for Edit Mode control schemes for their gameplay preferences.
A new sprint button has been added for sprinting on controllers, Left Bumper.
Players can also enable the ‘tap to sprint’ in Gameplay settings to sprint around by tapping a single button, instead of holding one.
Wireless controllers get full support on Steam.
SCROOGE’S STORE Update
Furniture Items will appear in place of any empty clothing displays.
DREAMSNAPS & PHOTO MODE Update
A ‘Skip’ button has been added to DreamSnaps voting screen, allowing players to skip 10 votes per day.
Avatar/Character can now equip accessories and Royal Tools while taking a photo.
PREMIUM SHOP Update
The Premium Shop now has a ‘Recommended’ section which offers four additional items and bundles each week.
NOTE: The items displayed in the Recommended section will be different for every player.
OTHER
Players can now equip Wings as a Glider in the Wardrobe, and the wings will have a fluttering animation while surfing/gliding.
Players will be able to add any duty or crafting recipe to the on-screen quest tracker to keep track of their daily activities.
The Star Path menu receives various UI improvements.
