Type Soul Halloween Update – Playing The Event, Ghosts, Mysterious Witch and Boss!

Do you believe in ghosts? Well, you should! Ghosts have invaded and in this Type Soul Halloween Update guide, I tell you how to participate in the event, the new shopkeep rewards, and information on the new boss.

Type Soul Halloween Update Guide

To get started with the event, head to Karakura Town and press the comma key from your keyboard. Doing this will trigger waymarkers to all of the important NPCs within KT. Next, follow the ‘Mysterious Witch’ waypoint to find this NPC standing in an alley. After speaking to her, she will give you a quest to go squash ghosts in different areas around Type Soul. You’ll need to defeat 3x Hueco Mundo Ghosts, 3x Soul Society Ghosts, 3x Wanden Ghosts and 2x Karakura Ghosts.

Ghosts appear around Hollow hotspots across each respective map. They appear as transparent blocky avatars who fight using Hakuda and Speed. Luckily, they’re not particularly strong. Once they fall, you’ll need to finish them off with a grip. On death, Ghosts have the chance to drop Ectoplasm (which counts for additional Points in the Mysterious Witch store), or Ghastly Cores.

Ghastly Cores is an item required to spawn the new Ghoulossus Boss, who on defeat has the chance to drop the following new accessories:

Soulfire Halo
+15 Health+2% Defence+5 Posture+12 Reiatsu+5% Reiatsu Regeneration
Spectral Crown
+12 Health+5% Defence+5 Posture+20 Reiatsu

Mysterious Witch Point Shop

Heading back to the NPC, you’re able to view your current Point balance and spend it inside her limited-time store. Each Ghost kill increases your Point stash, and if they drop Ectoplasm, you’ll earn even more!
