Paradox Soul Reaper Progression – Shikai and Vizard!

Thankfully, each step of the Paradox Soul Reaper progression method is simple! You’ll soon be obtaining your Vizard Mask with our guide.

Paradox Soul Reaper Progression

Level up, reach the required Potential, and become a true Soul Reaper!

Soul Reaper Missions

As a Soul Reaper, you have a set of missions to participate in when levelling up. All missions grant EXP and Yen, and there are 3 difficulty options. The playable missions and rewards are:

Transport the Buyer

Find the Imposter

Scavenger Hunt
10 EXP350 Yen

Medium

Apprehend Pirate
10 EXP350 Yen
Chase and Exterminate
10 EXP350 Yen
Takedown Assault

Hard

Defend the Point
10 EXP500 Yen
Wave Defense
13 EXP400 Yen

Reaper Exam

When reaching Potential 75, you cannot progress until you complete the Soul Reaper Exam. To do this, you must go to Soul Society and visit the Division House. Head into the classroom where the Professor resides and sit down at a desk to take the test. If you pass, you graduate, then you’re an official Shinigami!

Unlocking Your Shikai

At Potential 200, you can work towards unlocking your Shikai. Once you hit 200, press the N key on your keyboard to begin. Keep in mind that the Shikai you wield (at least at first), is randomly assigned to you. All Shikai moves have a drop rate chance, going from Legendary (1%), Rare (10%), and Common (89%).

Stage 1

A short mini-game appears, where you must click the numbers in order as quickly as possible when they pop up in the window.

Stage 2

Another mini-game! You have to click the numbers in the correct order once again, but this time you should only do so when there’s a circle over the one you need to select.

Stage 3

After the second mini-game, you’re pulled into a boss fight. This boss is fairly easy to counter as it utilises the same abilities that you have, so you’re already familiar with how it tries to attack you. It unleashes its Shikai around the mid-point of the battle. After beating the boss, you unlock a Shikai for yourself!

Obtaining Vizard

The next step is getting to Potential 350. In Soul Society, there is an NPC called Cody who sits on the floor, whom you must speak to! After talking with him, he grants you a quest.

Your task is to retrieve a Mask Remnant from the Eternal Flame Trial. It’s easy enough, as Cody walks you through each step of the quest, aiding you throughout the duration, and letting you know how much more you have to do. The Eternal Flame is a wave-based game mode, and the Mask Remnant is a random drop!

Vizard Variants

You can reroll your mask variant by using a Vizard Mask Reroll!
