How to Increase the Maximum Number of Zelda Hearts in Echoes of Wisdom
There are two methods through which players can increase the maximum number of hearts (health) in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. The primary method is to find and acquire Pieces of Heart, and the other method is to acquire Heart Containers.
Acquire 4 Pieces of Heart for 1 Full Heart
The Pieces of Heart are scattered throughout the Hyrule World and 40 in total to be exact. You will find most of the Pieces of Heart as you progress through the main storyline path as they are hidden around in the surroundings of the areas. Moreover, some of the Pieces of Heart are purchased from the shops around and some are given to you as a reward for completing quests.
As you acquire 4 Pieces of Heart, Zelda will attain 1 Heart to the heart pool (health). Acquiring all 40 Pieces of Heart will give 10 hearts in total and increase Zelda’s maximum health to 13 Hearts. To find most of the Pieces of Heart during the adventure, check every nook and cranny in the wild, head inside the caves and dungeons, and purchase any if you run into a shop.
Acquire Heart Containers
The next method for increasing maximum health is to get Heart Containers. Similar, to Pieces of Heart, the Heart Container increases the maximum number of Hearts, but you need only 1, instead of 4 to increase the number of hearts by one. However, the Heart Containers are rare and only acquired by defeating the bosses at the end of the dungeons.
There are 7 Heart Containers in total and each one is obtained by defeating dungeon bosses, so if you run into a dungeon during the adventure, take the risk and complete it to increase Zelda’s health.
What is the Maximum Number of Hearts in Echoes of Wisdom?
Princess Zelda can have a maximum of 20 Hearts, 10 hearts from finding 40 Pieces of Hearts, and 7 hearts from acquiring Heart Containers.
