Black Myth: Wukong offers several Armor Sets based on a variety of rarities and certain bonus effects. Players will usually unlock these Armor Sets as they progress through the adventure by defeating the bosses and retrieving the Relics. One of the best end-game Armor Sets that players can come across is Sun Wukong’s True Armor Set, the one seen in the Intro of the game.

How to Unlock Sun Wukong’s True Armor Set in Black Myth: Wukong
Sun Wukong’s True Armor Set is unlocked by finding it in a hidden chest, instead of defeating a boss. Players can find the hidden chest early in Chapter Six of the game as it is located near the Foothills – Verdant Path Shrine, the first shrine in Chapter Six. However, you cannot reach it until you have unlocked the Somersault Cloud transformation by defeating the Supreme Inspector.
Where to Find the Sun Wukong’s True Armor Set
Once you have acquired the Somersault Cloud, go to the Verdant Path Shrine and use the transformation to head straight along the path in front. As the path takes a turn to the left side, increase the height of the cloud to reach the mountain cliff ahead. Here, you will see a tilted thick tree, and if you go to the backside of the tree, you will find the chest.
Now, exit from the transformation and loot the chest to get all the pieces of Sun Wukong’s True Armor set.

The defense stats of Sun Wukong’s True Armor set are as follows.
Golden Feng-Tail Crown – Defense: 20
Gold Suozi Armor – Defense: 40

Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders – Defense: 24
NOTE: Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade Sun Wukong’s True Armor Set. However, its bonus effect increases the defense stats of all gear pieces.
Bonus Effect of Sun Wukong’s True Armor Set
The bonus effect of Sun Wukong’s True Armor becomes active on all four gear pieces equipped. Bonus effect: Each new Great Sage’s Talent awakened increases the Defense of the armor set. Meaning, that all the Great Sage’s Talents that you acquire in your various Skill Trees (Self-Advance) increase the overall defense.
In your first playthrough, you will hardly have most of the talents awakened, and that is why this armor set is mostly suited for the New Game+ journey as you will be able to acquire more talents in newer skill trees that you didn’t prefer in the first playthrough.
