Black Myth: Wukong is one of the most successful video games of 2024, selling over 20 million copies to this date on PlayStation 5 and PC, and generating over $800 million. However, this is not it for the title as there is currently an expansion in development which Game Science has planned to release somewhere near the Chinese New Year, starting on January 29, 2025.
A gaming consultant based in China recently posted on X/Twitter that the DLC for Black Myth: Wukong will be released in early 2025, either at the end of January or very soon after. He cleared that he heard from very reliable first-hand sources in the industry.
Moreover, he stated in his follow-up tweets, “Needless to say that plans can always change. While teams have internal plans and roadmaps, nothing is hardly ever set in stone when it comes to release dates in gaming…”
However, Game Science hasn’t disclosed an official state of expansion for the Black Myth: Wukong.
