Wondrous Magus, Cowardly Maya, and Crying Table is the second Abyss of Time boss in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis that players will encounter inside Cocytus door. This guide will provide you tips and tricks to easily defeat Wondrous Magus, Cowardly Maya, and Crying Table to progress ahead in the expansion pass story of Persona 3 Reload.
Where to Find Wondrous Magus, Cowardly Maya, & Crying Table Boss in P3R: Episode Aigis
Once you have made it to the Cocytus door after defeating the Wrathful Book boss and completing the Malebolge door playthrough, make your way down to the B8 floor. Here, you will be able to use the teleport to regroup and replenish HP and SP. Once you are ready, head back inside the Cocytus door and go down to the B9 floor to encounter the Wondrous Magus, Cowardly Maya, and Crying Table.
Tips & Tricks to Defeat Wondrous Magus, Cowardly Maya, & Crying Table
The Wondrous Magus is weak to Fire Damage, Cowardly Maya is weak against Electricity, and the Crying Table is weak against Ice. The preferred characters for this fight are Aigis, Metis, Yukari, and Ken, as you can use Aigis for Fire Damage, Ken for Electricity Damage, and Metis for Ice Damage. Moreover, you can also replace Yukari with Koromaru to have more fire attacks.
TIP: Having Yukari is more efficient as you can cast several defensive moves to heal your party throughout the fight.
Now, follow along the steps below to easily defeat Wondrous Magus, Cowardly Maya, and Crying Table.
As you engage the boss, use Agilao attack as Aigis to deal Fire Damage to Wondrous Magus. Use Bufula attack as Metis to deal Ice Damage to Crying Table and lastly use Zionga attack as Ken to deal Electricity Damage to Cowardly Maya.
Once all three enemies are down, engage the All-Out Attack to deal critical damage.
Here, you will get another attack so take advantage of it and use any attack to deal additional damage.
Wondrous Magus will use Bufula attack most of the time during the fight but it also uses Concentrate which increases its attack. The best way to deal with this is to attack it with Fire Damage and guard against the next incoming attack.
Now, if your character gets hurt, make sure to use Media Attack as Yukari to slightly restore the party’s HP.
Get back to stunning them again to have a chance of doing an All-Out Attack to deal critical damage, and focus on defeating Wondrous Magus first rather than other enemies.
After this point, the fight will be repetitive so play it according to the attacks of the boss and the enemies. If you manage to defeat Wondrous Magus first, the fight will become much easier.
