The ongoing Nintendo Live 2024 Sydney at the International Convention Centre recently revealed the official Zelda Timeline, separating the timeline of the last two Zelda Games – Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, from all the previous games of the franchise.
A well-known Australian Nintendo Community that has been around for 23 years, recently posted a photo of Zelda History on X/Twitter. The photo shows the complete timeline from the very first game and places both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom separately from all the other games in the series.
Over the last 37 years, players have experienced Link going through numerous adventures, and one of the most hot topics after the last two Zelda games was the timeline. Players shared several thoughts on their perspective of the timeline for both BOTW and TOTK, but it seems like every fan has now got their answer on how the Zelda timeline is shared and in which order players can play all of the Zelda titles for maximum immersion.
Moreover, viewing the Zelda history also points to the start of a new timeline because the Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the upcoming title in the Zelda series, isn’t included in the shared timeline. However, it is just speculation, and we all find out more about this on September 26, 2024, when the Echoes of Wisdom releases globally.
