The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria offers various resources and materials scattered throughout Moria that players will get to gather for crafting and building purposes. Each crafting recipe requires specific resources and workstations to be made for which players have to both progress and gather resources that can be found in certain regions.

Ironwood is one of the rare resources in Return of Moria and is used for crafting various structures, weapons, and the Adamant Hammer, a necessary tool required for rebuilding the Bridge of Khazad Dum.

This guide will help you get ironwood in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.

How to Get Ironwood in Return to Moria

Ironwood is one of the rare resources in the game and there are two different ways through which you can acquire it. The first and primary way to get Ironwood is by breaking the old furniture in Dwarrodelf. Use the Pickaxe to quickly break the furniture in Dwarrodelf to get your hands on Ironwood. However, this method will only get you a limited amount of Ironwood as not all furniture drops one.

Furthermore, the second method which looks to be a more precise one and can net you a great amount of Ironwood is, hitting a tree or any wooden item with an Axe imbued with Yarog-luthnul (Rune). The Yarog-luthnul rune is unlocked after acquiring 3 Emeralds and then you can apply it on one of your Axes at the Rune Table.

Once your axe has been enchanted or inscribed with a rune, head out to any area either starting or late game and start chopping down the trees or breaking the wooden furniture/floors to gather Ironwood.

Early areas like Elven Forge is one of the great spots where you can farm a ton of Ironwood by hitting the enchanted axe on trees and wooden fortifications.
