Black Myth: Wukong – Man in Stone Quest, Azure Dust Transformation Spell

Black Myth: Wukong offers several side quests throughout each chapter that players can begin and complete to earn various rewards and uncover secrets. The Man in Stone quest is one of the side quests that players can undertake in Chapter 2: Yellow Sand, Desolate Dusk.

The Man in Stone Quest Walkthrough – Black Myth: Wukong

The Man in Stone is a merchant in Black Myth: Wukong from whom players can trade for various useful items. However, before players can trade with him, they must complete his quest.

Starting the Quest

To initiate the Man in Stone quest, speak with him in a narrow pathway near the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine – Fright Cliff. From the shrine, head to the path on the left and drop down to the path below, go to the end of the path to find the Man in Stone.

Acquire Stone Essence Key Item

After speaking with Man in Stone, the next step is to acquire the Stone Essence which is obtained by defeating Mother of Stones. You can find the Mother of Stones in the cavern area of Fright Cliff. However, the easiest way to reach her is from the Rockrest Flat shrine. From the shrine, turn around and enter the cavern area. Turn to the first pathway on the right side as you enter the cavern area and follow the path to reach a room with glowing rocks.

The glowing rocks are attached to Mother of Stones, so go ahead and attack her to initiate the boss fight. Once you have defeated her, you will get the Stone Essence key item.

Deliver Stone Essence to the Man in Stone

Now, go back to the location of Man in Stone and interact with him to give him the Stone Essence. He will suddenly become arrogant and will tell you to leave.

Defeat Man in Stone

Don’t take an insult from the Man in Stone and attack him to initiate the boss fight. Defeat the Man in Stone to complete his quest and get Azure Dust, a Transformation Spell as a reward.

Moreover, if you leave the area and come back to Man in Dust, you will be able to purchase various items from him, including a Sobering Stone which is required for the Drunken Boar quest.
