Jafar is the main antagonist in Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time expansion pass story and players will stop and fail his plans at the end of the story. However, despite completing the main story and seeing the credits rolled, Jafar will not unlock as a villager which might confuse many players. It is because Jafar gets trapped inside the lamp at the end of the story and breaking him free is the only way to unlock him.
This guide will help you unlock Jafar in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Unlock Jafar in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unlocking Jafar will require players to first progress through the final chapter of A Rift in Time story and fail all of Jafar’s plans by completing the following quests.
Use Your Imagination: Rapunzel
NOTE: All these quests are a part of Act III: Treasures of Time which is only accessible to the owners of A Rift in Time expansion.
Upon completing all the story quests, the end credits of A Rift in Time expansion will roll, leaving you with Jafar’s Lamp in your inventory. Now, once the story has been completed, you will be able to initiate another quest called The Lesser Evil for Oswald by picking up any 2D object scattered around Eternity Isle. There are three 2D objects in total and you can find them in the following locations.
2D Object (Cactus) from the Plains (Glittering Dunes)
2D Object (Tree) from the Grasslands (Wild Tangle)
2D Object (Statue) from the Docks (Ancient’s Landing)
After initiating the quest, simply progress through it and you will be asked to place Jafar’s Lamp in the Statue of Time’s arms in the Cave of Wonders. Bring the lamp to the Cave of Wonders and place it on the pedestal.
Once done, equip the Hourglass tool and use it on the lamp to break free Jafar and unlock him as a villager. Meaning, you can increase your Friendship Level with him and complete his Friendship Quests.
