Alongside your journey of retrieving Six Relics as a Destined One in Black Myth: Wukong, there are several side quests that you can undertake that will reward you with rare materials, gear, and weapons, and even unlock a secret area within a certain Chapter. One of the early side quests that you can accept, is from a Drunken Boar in Chapter 2: Yellow Sand, Desolate Dusk.

This guide will walk you through the complete quest of Drunken Boar in Black Myth: Wukong.

Drunken Boar Side Quest Walkthrough – Black Myth: Wukong

The Drunken Boar quest is accepted by speaking with the Boar located in an open field near the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine in the Fright Cliff area. However, this quest can be initiated at any point and requires multiple items to progress. You may have already got all of the items in your inventory, but for the sake of this guide, we will still explain where you can get everything.

Follow the sections below in order to start, progress, and complete the Drunken Boar quest in Black Myth: Wukong.

1. Meet Drunken Boar in an Open Field near Rockrest Flat

From the Rockrest Flat keeper’s Shrine, head in the north direction to come across a small wooden gate guarded by a Spearbone. Defeat or run past the Spearbone and through the wooden gate to reach an open field. Go to the center of the field to see a Drunken Boar on the ground.

Interact with the boar to start his quest and he will ask you to get him something to sober up. The required item that you need here is a Sobering Stone.

2. Where to Find the Sobering Stone

To get the Sobering Stone, go to the Windrest Bridge Keeper’s Shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation area. The Windrest Bridge shrine is located ahead of the Crouching Tiger Temple requiring you to first defeat the Tiger Vanguard. Once you are at the shrine, follow the steps below to find the Sobering Stone.

Head down to the bridge and use the Cloud Step to get past the enemies and take a left.

Go ahead and go to the right through the archway.

In the courtyard, turn left and go inside a small shack in the corner to find a pot.

Break the pot to get the Sobering Stone.

3. Deliver the Sobering Stone to Drunken Boar

After getting the Sobering Stone, go back to the boar’s location in the Rockrest Flat. Interact with him to give him the Sobering Stone, and he will tell you to get him some food. Moreover, he will change his location to the Crouching Tiger Temple.

NOTE: For the food, he needs a Jade Lotus which is most probably what you have in your inventory. You can find it in the water puddles or can purchase it from the shrine’s store.

4. Deliver Jade Lotus to Drunken Boar

Go to the Crouching Tiger Temple and as you walk up to the top of the staircase of the temple, turn to the right to see the boar sitting on the floor. Interact with Boar to give him the Jade Lotus.

Once done, the boar will then talk about the Arhat Gold Piece, the next item that you need to get.

5. Where to Find the Arhat Gold Piece

The Arhat Gold Piece key item is obtained by defeating the First Prince of Flowing Sands in the Valley of Despair. There is a high chance that you have already defeated this boss and have the Arhat Gold Piece in your inventory.

6. Go back to the boar’s original location with Arhat Gold Piece

Once you have the Arhat Gold Piece, go back to the open field near the Rockrest Flat shrine to find the boar walking across the field.

7. Defeat Yellow-Robbed Squire (Drunken Boar)

Seeing you with Arhat Gold Piece, the drunken boar or the Yellow-Robbed Squire will attack you, initiating a boss fight.

Defeat the Yellow-Robbed Squire to complete the Drunken Boar side quest and it will give you access to the Kingdom of Sahali, a secret area.
