Black Myth: Wukong has a variety of materials that players will obtain either by defeating enemies/bosses or by finding inside the chests. Every material has its own unique use and one of the rarest materials in the game is Mind Core. How to Get Mind Cores in Black Myth: Wukong
Unlike regular materials, Mind Cores cannot be farmed as they are limited and you will get your first Mind Core by defeating Lingxuzi. However, there are certain ways through which you can get more Mind Cores.
Defeat Main and Hidden Bosses: Defeating the main bosses is the primary way of getting Mind Cores. However, not all main bosses drop Mind Cores and there are several hidden bosses in the game that reward a Mind Core when they are defeated. Explore the world in every chapter to find all the bosses and defeat them.
Purchase the Mind Core from Keeper’s Shrine: Upon completing the first chapter of the game, every chapter will offer a few Mind Cores at the Store (Keeper’s Shrine). Visit any shrine and look at the store to purchase all the available Mind Cores. If you have missed Mind Cores from any previous chapters, you can travel back to any location of the chapter and open the store at the shrine to purchase the Mind Cores.
Loot the Wooden Chests: While exploring the world in Black Myth: Wukong, you will come across metal and wooden chests. Metal Chests often reward Tiny Pieces of Gold and other regular materials, but Wooden Chests have a chance of dropping a Mind Core.
How to Use Mind Cores in Black Myth: Wukong
The Mind Cores are used to craft all kinds of Celestial Medicines but you can’t do it at the Shrine. Instead, you have to unlock a vendor named Xu Dog who can be found at the end of Chapter 2. Xu Dog is located in the Cellar–Crouching Tiger Temple which is reached after using the Tally by defeating Tiger Vanguard and Stone Vanguard bosses.
As you reach into the Cellar by sliding down the sand, you will come across Xu Dog on the right side. Interact with him and he will take Mind Cores and turn him into asked Celestial Medicines to increase corresponding stats.
