Whiteclad Noble is one of the main bosses in Black Myth: Wukong that players will encounter in Chapter One: Black Cloud, Red Fire. He is the first boss in the game who has a dual-phase fight with various ranged and AOE attacks. Keeping your Gourd charges and Mana available throughout the fight can be tricky due to the two-phase fight.

This guide will provide you with essential tips and tricks that you can use to easily defeat Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth: Wukong.

Where to Find Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth: Wukong

Whiteclad Noble is located in the Bamboo Grove area near the Marsh of White Mist Keeper’s Shrine. You will find this shrine after defeating Guangmou, and as you venture ahead, you will meet an NPC who will teach you the Brew technique (status effects on using Gourd). Continue ahead on the wooden platforms to reach an open water area to trigger the cutscene and encounter Whiteclad Noble.

How to Defeat Whiteclad Noble in Black Myth: Wukong

Whiteclad Noble is a swift boss with various ranged attacks and close-range combos. You can try and stay close to him to get a hit on him after every attack but he will slowly back away for a ranged attack. The tips and tricks that we are about to tell you are focused on staying at a distance from him and baiting his lunge attack for punishment.

Moreover, before engaging in a fight with Whiteclad Noble, make sure to get the Red Tides spell and Wandering Wight Spirit Skill.

Tips & Tricks for Phase 1 of Whiteclad Noble

Dodge forward to avoid the spear-throw attack of the boss and get behind him. Get a couple of hits in and quickly stop him by using the Immobilize Spell.

Deal as much damage as you can and as he breaks from the Immobilize spell, use the Wandering Wight spell to deal a great amount of damage.

Save your focus points for now and avoid his attacks by dodging. If you see him swinging on his spear, be ready to dodge twice as he will jump at you twice.

After the second jump, you can land a couple of hits on him.

Get back from him and as you see him going into a charge stance, dodge in the forward direction to avoid the lunge attack and get behind him. You can punish him with a charged attack at this point.

Now, here you can either use the Immobilize Spell again or transform with the Red Tides spell. However, we recommend that you use the Red Tides in the second phase.

Punish the boss a bit more with the use of a spell and back away.

If you stay close to him and you see him spreading his arm with the spear, get away from him to avoid the AOE attack.

Apart from this attack, another usual attack is the water projectiles which you can easily avoid by running or dodging.

Rinse and repeat to deplete Whiteclad Noble’s HP and move on to the next phase.

Tips & Tricks for Phase 2 of Whiteclad Noble

Due to the reptilian form, Whiteclad Noble’s movement speed will be increased in the second phase. Avoid the water projectiles by dodging them and then be ready to dodge in the forward direction to avoid the lunge attack.

As you get behind the boss by dodging his lunge attack, punish him and then use the Immobilize Spell on him to deal more damage, similar to the first phase.

Once the spell is over, dodge away from the boss to bait him into making the lunge attack again. Staying far from the boss will let him use either the water projectiles attack, a water-wave stomp, or a lunge attack.

Avoid the attacks by dodging to the side and he will ultimately do a lunge attack that you can punish by dodging.

Guessing that you haven’t used the Red Tides yet, it is the perfect time to use it as you get an individual health bar of the transformation. Use the heavy attacks of the transformation to deal extensive damage to the boss.

After using the Red Tides, bait the boss once more time and then use the Immobilize spell to stop him again. Punish the boss with as much damage as you can and as he breaks free from the spell, use the focus points to land a charged heavy attack.

Rinse and repeat the baiting technique to land a few hits on Noble to eventually defeat him.
