Chapter 3: Short Circuit is a main mission in Crime Scene Cleaner that players can initiate from the computer at Home after completing the Toxic Love. The mission includes cleaning a murder site at a Smart House which is said to be haunted and getting rid of all evidence and bodies.
This guide will walk you through the Short Circuit mission in Crime Scene Cleaner.
Chapter 3: Short Circuit – Complete Walkthrough (All Secrets & Cassettes)
Short Circuit mission requires you to clean and fix a Haunted House and dispose of three bodies, and eleven pieces of evidence. Moreover, two hidden secrets and two cassettes are scattered throughout the house which you can find to earn bonus experience points.
First Floor – Wipe blood, collect evidence, pick up trash, and fix furniture
The ground floor will have a bit of blood near the staircase and both the rooms’ doors will be locked. Initially, you cannot do much here, but you can pick up a Smart Speaker (1st evidence) under the window beside the locked door on the left side. After cleaning the blood on the floor and the staircase, go up to the first floor and complete all the tasks.
Start cleaning the blood on the floor of the hallway and the walls. Clean the tilted pictures with the sponge and fix them. Pick up the Crucifix (2nd evidence) from the floor. Go near the boxes at the end of the hallway to find another Smart Speaker (3rd evidence). Before opening the rooms to find the bodies and more mess, go to the room on the other end of the hallway and you will find the Key to the Living Room. Moreover, check the locker cabinets in the room to find another Smar Speaker (4th evidence).
Now, it’s time to start cleaning the rooms and dispose of the bodies. Go to the first room in the hallway to find a body on the bed. Equip the Garbage Can and pick up all the trash in the room. Once done, use the mop to clean the floor and walls, and the sponge to clean the bed. After cleaning the room, place all the furniture back and then pick up the Phone (5th evidence) from the top of the dresser.
Go to the next room with the body and pick up all the trash. Start cleaning the floor and the furniture items. Place the furniture back in its place and you will find the Shotgun (6th evidence). Dispose of the body and clean the rest of the room.
Cassette 1 & 2
The second room with the body will have a radio on the shelf. Go over to the radio to find the Holy Wota cassette. After picking up the cassette, turn off the radio and leave the room. Wait for a bit until you hear the sound of the radio again. Go over to the radio again to find the Girampa Girampas cassette.
After cleaning the second room, head into the room in front. Here, you will some cat prints around the room. Clean the prints with the sponge and pick up the trash from the floor. Pick up the Smart Speaker (7th evidence) from the floor beside the dresser. Now, interact with the computer and hack it to open the CCTV Archive folder.
NOTE: Click on numbers or press the corresponding number keys on the keyboard as the highlighted bar moves over the digits on the screen. Press all the numbers in the correct order as the encrypted key to successfully hack and open the CCTV Archive folder on the computer.
Delete all the surveillance recordings from the computer to complete all of the tasks on the first floor.
Secret 1
To find the first hidden secret in the Haunted Manor, stand in the hallway facing towards the last room from where you picked up the Key to the Living Room earlier. Look at the lamp on the left side outside the last room, it will be tilted. Go and interact with it to reveal a secret room on the opposite end of the hallway. The secret room will have jewelry and cash which you can loot for a bonus experience.
Ground Floor – Wipe blood, collect evidence, pick up trash, fix furniture, and destroy robot vacuum
Go down to the ground floor and interact with the double door to use the Key to the Living Room and open the door. You will find a Ritual Site in the living room and the final body. The robot vacuum will be roaming around the living room and you need to destroy it by using the Axe tool.
NOTE: You can unlock the Axe from the Skills Menu.
Once done, start picking up all the trash in the room. Don’t forget to pick up the robot vacuum in the garbage can as well. Clean the blood on the furniture with the sponge and start placing them back in their places. Interact with the body to pick up the Knife (8th evidence). Pick up the Note (9th evidence) from the floor. Go to the right side of the body to find another Smart Speaker (10th evidence).
Dispose of the body and clean the rest of the living room. Once done, go to the side hall to find a bit more trash and footprints of the cat. Clean the footprint and fix the pictures around the hall. Go to the back side of the hall to find another Smart Speaker (11th evidence).
At this point, you should have completed all the tasks around the Haunted Manor. You can finish the mission by leaving the house but there is one more secret to be found.
Secret 2
The second secret in the Haunted Manor is in the Living Room on the ground floor. Go over to the fridge in the Living Room and you will see a small door beside the fridge. Interact with the door to open it and find a hidden space. Here, you can find more valuables that you can steal to earn more experience.
After completing all the tasks, disposing of all the bodies, and finding all cassettes and secrets around the Haunted Manor, finish the mission by interacting with the main door.
