Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was originally planned to be released at the end of this year (2024), but announced to be delayed until February 2025, the anniversary week of the original Kingdom Come Deliverance.
This news was disclosed initially in the financial report of Embracer Group in which Embracer CEO, Lars Wingefors said that the game needs a final polish. “Our teams are committed to making and delivering better games. Our highly anticipated game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, is now confirmed for global release on February 11, 2025, which we believe enables some final polish and a better release window. We look very much forward to Gamescom next week to share more details about this game and other titles,” said Lars Wingefors.
Moreover, recently after the report’s publication, Warehouse Studios (creators of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2) released a video on social media revealing the new confirmed release date of the game. In the video, Toby from Warehouse Studios stated, “We almost made it, almost. But almost isn’t good enough though, so unfortunately we slipped to 2025. However, at least we have a precise release date now, which is February 11, 2025.”
Furthermore, Toby also revealed that Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live will include a new trailer for KCD 2, and a 25-minute long Gameplay Trailer on August 21, the first day of Gamescom.
Despite the delay, there is much more to be revealed from Warehouse Studios and fans will witness it together at Gamescom 2024.
