Disney Dreamlight Valley released a Developer Update video focusing on the next free-to-play update and the final Act of Expansion Pass, A Rift in Time. The next free-to-play update is called Dapper Delights and Act III of Expansion Pass is called Treasures of Time, all of which will be released next week on August 21.
Dapper Delights | Free Update Features
The free update, Dapper Delights features Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. Players will invite her to the Valley and set up her iconic Tiana’s Palace (Restaurant) by completing her exclusive quest. Moreover, as players foster their Friendship with Tiana, they will unlock Tiana’s Meal Stall from where players can buy a variety of meals on the get-go to replenish Energy without stopping in between the adventure to cook dishes.
In addition to the new character, Dapper Delights will also feature a new Star Path inspired by the Roaring Twenties. The Star Path will offer various clothing items, makeup, furniture, and hairstyles. Furthermore, progressing through the tiers of Star Path will also earn you a new Dream Style for Donald Duck.
A Rift in Time Expansion Pass – Act III: Treasures of Time
Alongside the free update, the owners of Expansion Pass, A Rift in Time will also get the one final run on the Eternity Isle to foil all Jafar’s schemes for good. The final Act, Treasures of Time will continue the story from the previous acts of events.
Jafar stole the Spark of Imagination, causing the sky to break and threatening everything and everyone on the Eternity Isle. You will be racing against time to foil Jafar’s schemes with the help of other villagers, and Mist for getting access to Jafar’s Palace.
Upon stopping Jafar and turning back the effects of the rifts, Jafar will join the Valley, bringing more exclusive quests and rewards.
New Improvements & Additions in Dapper Delights Update
Alongside the free and paid content updates, there will be some new improvements and additions to the game as well. The new addition to the game is a Cross-Platform feature for PlayStation Consoles (PS4 and PS5). Players on the PlayStation Consoles will be able to host and join other players (on any platform) with this feature.
The improvements that have been made in the game revolve around Wardrobe and Furniture menus to allow players to customize their character and decorate the Valley more easily. Both the Wardrobe and Furniture menus will now have a Search Bar, allowing players to search for a specific clothing/furniture item.
Players will also be able to set clothing items as ‘Favorite’ or even hide them. Moreover, the Wardrobe menu will also have an Outfit Preset function, allowing players to create various outfit presets to change the character’s visual looks without equipping every clothing item individually.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Dapper Delights and Expansion Pass Act III: Treasures of Time will be released on all platforms on August 21, 2024.
