Bad Call is the introductory mission, Chapter 0 of Crime Scene Cleaner in which players will learn all of the basics of the game. Moreover, the mission includes cleaning a murder site in an apartment and getting rid of all evidence and bodies.
This guide will walk you through the Bad Call mission of Crime Scene Cleaner.
Chapter 0: Bad Call – Complete Walkthrough (All Secrets & Cassettes)
Bad Call mission requires you to clean and fix Apartment 23 and dispose of three bodies, and eight pieces of evidence. Moreover, three hidden secrets and three cassettes are scattered throughout the Shady Neighborhood which you can find to earn bonus experience points.
Find a way into the Apartment 23
Open the apartment building door and head up the staircase to reach a small living room. Go to the shelf beside the apartment door and pick up the Apartment 23 Key from underneath the box. Now, interact with the apartment door to unlock it and enter inside.
Dealer’s Apartment – Wipe all blood, pick up trash, collect evidence, fix furniture
Equip the Mop by opening the Tool Wheel (Hold TAB) or pressing 2. Start cleaning the footprints on the floor and go to the washroom. Equip the Bucket by pressing 6 or opening the Tool Wheel, and then place it underneath the tap to fill it. While in the washroom, use the Sponge to clean the blood in the sink.
Now, open the detergent menu by pressing 7 or from the Tool Wheel and equip the Clean Detergent. Use the Clean Detergent in the water-filled bucket.
TIP: Using the detergent in the water will slow the water contamination rate by 20%.
Once done, pick up the bucket and bring it outside the washroom. Equip the mop and clean all the blood on the floor and the wall. Use the Cleaner’s Sense by pressing Q to see any leftover stains. After that, open the next door to get inside the Living Room. Bring the bucket and start cleaning all of the blood on the floor.
TIP: Check all the cabinets and drawers to find any extra money and drugs. Stealing items helps you earn bonus money at the end of the missions.
As you start wiping off blood on the floor, you will find the Dealer’s Phone (1st evidence). Upon cleaning all of the blood using the Mop and the Sponge, move all the furniture back to its place. Use the Cleaner’s Sense to see the corresponding places for all the furniture items.
NOTE: While cleaning the blood, the water will get contaminated at some point. Bring the bucket back to the tap to drain the water and fill it again. Use the Clean Detergent in the freshwater again.
Don’t forget to pick up the trash. Equip the Garbage Can by pressing 4 or from the Tool Wheel and collect trash by pressing or holding LMB. Once you are done cleaning and fixing the living room and dining room, pick up the Phone (2nd evidence) from the stand between the home theater speakers.
Now, go to the kitchen to find the body and more mess. First, pick up the trash and clean all the blood. Go over to the window to find the Customers List (3rd evidence). Interact with the Knife in the body to get the 4th evidence.
Before moving the body, open the next door to find more mess and Cash (5th evidence). Clean the blood in the room and you will see blood coming down from the attic. Open the attic door to find another body. Now, you can move both the bodies through the main staircase of the apartment building or you can use the elevator outside the window in the kitchen.
However, the window will not open due to planks. To open the kitchen window, head to the other window in front of the washroom and break the planks by holding RMB. Now, walk along the ledge on the right side to reach the elevator and then break the planks above the window to open it. Now, move the bodies to the elevator and you can bring them down and dispose of them in the trunk of your truck.
NOTE: Bring the Trash Bags to the truck’s trunk as well.
Attic – Wipe blood, dispose of blood paintings, collect evidence
After getting rid of two bodies, head back to the apartment and go to the attic to clean up more mess.
1st Cassette
As you climb up the attic ladder, you will find the Classical Music Collection cassette beside the radio.
Equip the mop and clean the blood on the floor. Move to the board on the wall and pick up Photos (6 and 7 evidence). Open the next door to find a small weed laboratory. Loot all of the drugs in the room for extra money. Go along the laboratory to reach the back room to find another body.
Use the Cleaner’s Sense to find all 5 Blood Paintings. Hit the paintings to break them and then pick up the pieces in the Garbage Can. Moreover, the Student ID (8th evidence) should be picked up near the containers at the back of the room.
Lastly, clean all the blood using the mop and the sponge, and then bring the body downstairs. Move the body to the truck’s trunk by the elevator or through the main staircase. Once done, you will be able to finish the mission and return home.
However, there are still two Cassettes and three Secrets to be found in the area. Continue reading to learn the locations of all Cassettes and Secrets in the Shady Neighborhood.
Bad Call – All Secrets and Remaining Cassettes
1st Secret
Go out of Apartment 23 and follow along the path to see an open window at the end of the hallway. Jump onto the ledge of the window and go to the left to find a hidden spot with more drugs.
NOTE: Don’t jump through the window, simply drop down to the ledge below to reach the secret spot.
2nd Secret and 2nd Cassette
Go to the elevator and use it to reach the lower floor than apartment 23. The window will be barricaded so break it by punching the wooden planks, and enter inside a mysterious room. Investigate the poem beside the picture, and pick up the Epitaph of a Good Friend cassette from the shelf on the right side.
Moreover, steal all the cash and the Golden Hand in the room for bonus money.
3rd Secret and 3rd Cassette
Now, go back to the elevator, and look to the left side to see an entrance to another apartment. Walk on the ledge and interact with the ladder to open it. Climb the ladder to reach the top of the staircase, leading to Apartment 23, and then go down the staircase. Enter the Hidden Apartment and go straight to a small room in which you will find Lucky Key.
Now leave the apartment through the same window and climb down the ladder to the alley. You will find the same Lucky Key on top of the box in the alley. Go to the end of the alley and interact with a door to open it using Lucky Key. You will see a small nursery and as you reach the end, there will be another door. Open it as well using the other Lucky Key and you will discover the final secret and find the Cieszyn’s Venice cassette on the heater.
Loot the drugs in the room for extra money and then you can finish the mission by interacting with your truck.
