Upgrading the general store is one of the main story quests in Fields of Mistria, similar to fixing the bridge and repairing the Mill. However, unlike those town upgrades, the General Store upgrade is more costly and will require more exclusive resources.

How to Upgrade the General Store in Fields of Mistria
The General Store Upgrade mission becomes available once you have completed the ‘Mill Restoration Project’ which requires you to repair the Mill next to the general store. After that, you will have to meet Adeline and Eiland in front of the Manor House and then meet Adeline at the General Store.
Meeting Adeline at the general store will kick off the ‘Repair the General Store’ story quest. Now, upgrading the general store will require you to transfer the following materials to the donation box.
300x Wood
5x Iron Ingot
5x Copper Ingot
500x Stone
Out of all the required materials, Iron Ingot is the hardest to get as it will require you to mine Iron Ores from the Tide Caverns (floors 21-39) of the Mines. Moreover, accessing the Tide Caverns floors requires unlocking the Water Seal on Floor 20 of the Mines.
In addition to the required materials, you also have to deliver 3,000 Tesserae to Adeline to finish upgrading the general store.
Benefits of Upgrading the General Store in Fields of Mistria
Upgrading the General Store will give you access to a variety of crops for farming, more décor items, and most importantly, a second bag upgrade.
