Pursuing your mining endeavors in Fields of Mistria will soon bring you to Floor 20 of the Mines where you will encounter a magical tablet, Water Seal. To further progress into the Mines, unlocking the Water Seal is mandatory but it can be confusing at first to find all the required items to unlock it.

How to Unlock the Water Seal in Fields of Mistria
The Water Seal is located on Floor 20 of the Mines and blocks your path to the further floors of the mines. To unlock the Water Seal, you need to interact with the magical tablet in the middle of the room and donate specific four items. All the items required to unlock the Water Seal are the following.
1x Stone Loach
1x Upper Mines Mushroom
1x Ruby
1x Lantern Moth
All of the required items for unlocking the Water Seal are obtained from floors 1-19. However, the spawn location for each item will be random for every player.
How to Find the Stone Loach in Fields of Mistria
The Stone Loach is a common Upper Mines fish that is obtained by fishing at the fishing pools in the Mines. There are several floors in the Upper Mines with fishing pools in which you can fish to get various fish. However, look for a medium fish shadow in the water and start fishing it to have a high chance of catching the Stone Loach.
How to Find the Upper Mines Mushroom in Fields of Mistria
The Upper Mines Mushroom is a rare ground spawn in the Mines. It is a brown mushroom with a round top that spawns randomly on one of the floors (1-19) and is picked up simply by interacting with it.
How to Find the Ruby in Fields of Mistria
The Ruby is obtained by mining the Ruby Deposit or Chunk found on the upper floors. The ruby deposit has red metals in it similar to the copper deposits. Upon running into one, mine it to get a Ruby.
How to Find the Lantern Moth
The Lantern Moth is a flying bug that appears randomly on the upper floors of the mines. Equip and use the Bug Net to catch it.
Unlocking the Water Seal in Fields of Mistria
Upon gathering all four required items, go back to floor 20 and donate all items by interacting with the Magical Tablet in the middle. It will initiate a brief cutscene and you will unlock floors (21-40).
Rewards for Unlocking the Water Seal in Fields of Mistria
Unlocking the Water Seal will give you a Heart Crystal used for increasing the maximum health of your character, and access to the deeper floors of the Mines. The deeper floors of the mines offer other exclusive materials like Iron Ore, Sapphire, and Coral, but also include new enemy types.
Moreover, you will unlock a new magic spell called Summon Rain and a Mana Point by speaking to the Dragon Statue of Caldarus at the farm.
