Fields of Mistria offers various skills/activities that can be performed throughout the distinct regions of Mistria to develop a player’s character and the town itself. The skills themselves are pretty easy to grasp due to their resemblance with other farming/life-sim games, but the perks for each skill allow you to enhance your skills with useful benefits.
This guide will help you level up your skills and unlock perks for them in Fields of Mistria.
How to Level Up Skills in Fields of Mistria
There are nine skills/activities in Fields of Mistria that players can perform with the corresponding tools and stations. Every skill can be leveled up to Level 30 maximum by performing the tasks associated with that skill. For instance, increasing the Farming Skill Level will require you to grow and harvest the crops on your farm.
Every task you perform that is associated with a skill will raise the level slightly for that certain skill. To level up a skill quickly, all you have to do is repeat the tasks throughout the day to reach the maximum level.
However, increasing the level of the skills doesn’t seem to have any benefit other than unlocking more recipes and perks.
All Skills in Fields of Mistria
All the skills available in Fields of Mistria are the following.
Farming: Grow and harvest crops on your farm.
Fishing: Catch fish in the ocean, rivers, and ponds.
Archaeology: Dig up artifacts at sand spots.
Cooking: Combine ingredients to cook food.
Ranching: Raise animals on your farm.
Woodcrafting: Craft items at a Crafting Station.
Blacksmithing: Craft metal items at the forge.
Mining: Mine ores in the Mines.
Combat: Fight enemies in the Mines.
How to Unlock Perks in Fields of Mistria
Although leveling up skills doesn’t grant any immediate benefit, it surely unlocks a higher tier of perks for you to unlock. Perks are the passive benefits for the associated skills that will help you greatly with your daily activities in Mistria.
To unlock the Perks of the skills, you need to find the Dragon Statue of Caldarus at your farm. You do that naturally on Day 2 of Spring with Eiland. After that, Caldarus will start speaking with you in the dreams as you sleep at night and tell you about the perks. Moreover, acquiring the perks will require Essence (a currency that is obtained by performing tasks associated with skills).
Naturally, as you level up the skills, you will obtain Essence which then you can use to acquire perks by speaking with Caldarus either at the farm or in the Mines. Furthermore, Perks are divided among three different tiers – Level 1, Level 15, and Level 30.
Each tier will grant 4 perks for you to unlock and as you level up the skills and reach the level of the next tier, you will be able to acquire the newly unlocked perks for that respective skill.
