Disney Dreamlight Valley recently revealed the 2nd Content Roadmap for the rest of the year 2024, revealing three new Free Content Updates and one Paid Expansion Update for the remaining chapter of A Rift in Time. The Roadmap shows the new villagers coming to the Valley with future updates as well as a Showcase Stream for more announcements coming later this year.
August 2024 Content Update
As hinted in the previous Roadmap for 2024, a lot of fans have guessed the upcoming villager. Tiana will be joining the Valley in the next update this August. In the August free content update, players will witness Tiana’s Palace, new outdoor décor items, and a new Star Path that will bring a 1920s feel to the Valley.
Alongside the free content update, the August 2024 update will include the final chapter of Paid Expansion, A Rift in Time. Players will get to venture deep into Jafar’s Palace to put an end to his schemes and fix the Rift in Time.
Moreover, the next update is also big for the players who like to visit other players’ villages because it will contain cross-platform multiplayer for PlayStation consoles, allowing players on the PlayStation to visit players on other platforms.
October 2024 Content Update
The free content update for October 2024 will be shorter and focused on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to make the game smoother for bigger updates in the future. Additionally, with the update, two new Villagers named Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King will be added to the game. Players will return to The Lion King Realm to help out Timon and Pumbaa with Night Mites.
Night Mites is a new problem connected to the Night Thorns and the Forgetting which you will resolve with the help of your twin, The Forgotten.
Late 2024 Content Update
For the late 2024 content update, the roadmap doesn’t give any specific hints about the content, but it assures that there will be a Showcase Stream before the free content update announcing the features for the late 2024 update.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update is scheduled to release in August 2024.
