Microsoft has released its financial report for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, which ended on June 30.
Net Profit
During the reporting period, the corporation’s total revenue amounted to $64.7 billion, and net profit of $22 billion. The figures are higher than the same period last year by 15% and 10%, respectively. Almost 45% of all revenue again comes from server products and cloud services amounting to 28.5 billion with an increase of 19%. Windows OEM license revenue increased by 4%.
However, the Surface revenue fell again, down 11%.
Increase in Gaming Revenue
Revenue from Xbox content and services increased 61%, but without Activision Blizzard, the figure would have increased by only 3% as it secured 58 points of net impact.
However, console sales continue to fall compared to last year, with a 42% decline recorded in the reporting quarter.
Microsoft did not provide an updated number of Game Pass subscribers, but it noted that the company has more than 500 million active players monthly across all devices and platforms. Similar dynamics for the gaming division are predicted for the next quarter.
