“You will need each other. It’s good that there are three of you.” Netflix has unveiled an offiical trailer for an indie film titled His Three Daughters, made by NYC writer & director Azazel Jacobs. This premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival last year and earned rave reviews from many critics as one of the best of that festival. It’s now set for a release in limited theaters in September before it’s streaming on Netflix later this fall. A riveting, funny, tense, and touching portrait of family dynamics following three estranged sisters as they converge in a New York apartment to care for their ailing father and try to mend their own broken relationship with one another. The film stars Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne, and Elizabeth Olsen as the three sisters Katie, Rachel, and Christina (respectively). Along with a cast including Jovan Adepo, Jay O. Sanders, Rudy Galvan, Jose Febus, and Jasmine Bracey. This really looks like something special – sharp and honest and careful in its handling of this story about grief and family and love and siblings. It’s worth a watch. This is a charming, moving trailer that will hopefully get your attention – don’t skip this one. // Continue Reading ›
