Equipping your character with better gear items will certainly increase your survival chances in Dungeonborne. However, acquiring decent gear items can be hard as the maps have low-tier loot ranging from grey rarity items to blue items. To get your character the better gear items, you will have to unlock them and craft them at the Blacksmith.

This guide will help you how to unlock and craft Heirlooms in Dungeonborne.

How to Unlock the Heirlooms in Dungeonborne

Heirlooms are special gear items including weapons, armor pieces, and accessories with better and more comprehensive stats. Unlike the regular gear items stats that you loot during the match, Heirloom gear items provide you with more flexible stats. To get your hands on the Heirlooms, you will first have to unlock them.

Navigate to the Heirloom tab in the main lobby and you will see three different types of Heirlooms – Weapons, Armor, and Accessories. Each Heirloom offers different types of items which you have to first unlock before you craft them.  Unlocking the Heirlooms will require two different crafting materials: Rough White Iron and Ilmenite Ore.

Both of these crafting materials are obtained from dismantling the corresponding rarities of items. Grey gear items will give you Rough White Iron whereas, Green gear items will give you Ilmenite Ore.

Below you will find the unlock requirements for available Heirlooms in Dungeonborne.

One-handed Weapons – 200 Rough White Iron OR 50 Ilmenite Ore

Two-handed Weapons – 300 Rough White Iron OR 75 Ilmenite Ore

Shields – 200 Rough White Iron OR 50 Ilmenite Ore.

Armor – 300 Rough White Iron needed OR 75 Ilmenite Ore

Accessories – 200 Rough White Iron OR 50 Ilmenite Ore

NOTE: These materials are required to unlock each Heirloom of the respective type.

How to Craft the Heirlooms in Dungeonborne

Upon unlocking an Heirloom with either Rough White Iron or Ilmenite Ore, you will get the option to craft it. For crafting an Heirloom, you will need either a Mithril Token or one of the crafting materials (Ilmenite Ore, Refined Steel Ore, OR Star Fragment).

Mithril Token – Purchased from the Merchant for 1,000 Gold OR acquired as a reward for completing the quests.

Crafting Materials – Obtained from Dismantling the various rarities of gear items OR purchased from the Merchant.

Once you have one of the required materials for an Heirloom, choose the material and select the Craft option to forge the Heirloom.

Moreover, your forged Heirlooms can also be upgraded and enchanted for even better stats. However, both of these features will require additional crafting materials.
