Kyle is one of the unlockable descendants you will meet while following the campaign. Unlocking him will require you to gather various materials by completing multiple missions to research Kyle. This guide will walk you through unlocking Kyle in The First Descendant.

How to Unlock Kyle in The First Descendant

Unlocking Kyle requires gathering 4 materials essential for initializing his research at Anais. Three out of four materials are obtained by researching them at Anais instead of getting them by completing missions like the early-game unlockable Descendants. Moreover, each material requires a respective Blueprint as a final resource to complete the research that a certain Amorphous Material obtains.

All the required materials for unlocking Kyle are as follows.

1x Kyle Spiral Catalyst

1x Kyle Enhanced Cells

1x Kyle Stabilizer

1x Kyle Code

Before you start finding the Amorphous Materials to get all the blueprints, go to Anais and navigate to Enhanced Materials to see all three required materials for unlocking Kyle and the resources for researching each one.

You can find the methods to get each required Amorphous Material respective to the material below.

How to Get Kyle Spiral Catalyst

All the research materials required to research Kyle Spiral Catalyst are as follows.

Ceramic Composite x408

Reverse Charging Coil x455

Compound Carbon Activator x30

Kyle Spiral Catalyst Blueprint x1

Out of all these materials, the blueprint is the hardest to get, as the rest of them can be obtained by opening the chests and blue boxes. Kyle Spiral Catalyst Blueprint has a chance of dropping by opening the Amorphous Material Pattern: 087. Amorphous Material Pattern: 087 has a drop rate of 5% – 25% on Hard Difficulty and is obtained by completing the Chapel mission in the Derelict Covert area of the Echo Swamp region.

Once you have obtained the Amorphous Material, the next step is to defeat the Pyromaniac boss on Hard Difficulty to open it. Go to Seneca and initiate the Pyromaniac fight. Defeat the Pyromaniac and interact with the Reconstructed Device to open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 087.

However, the drop rate of the Kyle Spiral Catalyst Blueprint is only 10% so if you didn’t get the blueprint as a reward, you will have to repeat the whole process of getting the Amorphous Material and then opening it by defeating Pyromaniac.

Once you have got the Blueprint, you can go to Anais and initiate the Research of the Kyle Spiral Catalyst for a cost of 200,000 Gold. It will take 8 hours (Real Time) to complete and then you can claim it.

How to Get Kyle Enhanced Cells

All the research materials required to research Kyle Enhanced Cells are as follows.

Carbon Crystal x554

Hellion x303

Inorganic Biogel x58

Kyle Enhanced Cells Blueprint x1

Out of all these materials, the blueprint is the hardest to get, as the rest of them can be obtained by opening the chests and blue boxes. Kyle Enhanced Cells Blueprint has a chance of dropping by opening the Amorphous Material Pattern: 054. Amorphous Material Pattern: 054 has a drop rate of 25% on Hard Difficulty and is obtained by completing the Fallen Theater: Vulgus Strategic Outpost mission located in the Kingston region.

Once you have obtained the Amorphous Material, the next step is to complete the Void Fusion Reactor mission in the Grand Square area of the Kingston region. It requires 36x Inorganic Void Shard and 9x Organic Void Shard which are obtained by destroying the Void Fragments. Defeat the elite enemy spawn by activating the Void Fusion Reactor and then interact with the Reconstructed Device to open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 054 and hopefully get the Kyle Enhanced Cells Blueprint.

However, the drop rate of the Kyle Enhanced Cells Blueprint is only 10% so if you didn’t get the blueprint as a reward, you will have to repeat the whole process of getting the Amorphous Material and then opening it by completing the Void Fusion Reactor mission.

Once you have got the Blueprint, you can go to Anais and initiate the Research of the Kyle Enhanced Cells for a cost of 200,000 Gold. It will take 8 hours (Real Time) to complete and then you can claim it.

How to Get Kyle Stabilizer

All the research materials required to research Kyle Stabilizer are as follows.

Metal Accelerant x519

Monomolecular Extractor x499

Deformed Biometal x76

Kyle Stabilizer Blueprint x1

Out of all these materials, the blueprint is the hardest to get, as the rest of them can be obtained by opening the chests and blue boxes. Kyle Stabilizer Blueprint has a chance of dropping by opening the Amorphous Material Pattern: 058. Amorphous Material Pattern: 058 has a drop rate of 5% – 25% on Hard Difficulty and is obtained by completing the Slumber Valley mission in the Kingston region.

Once you have obtained the Amorphous Material, the next step is to defeat the Executioner boss on Hard Difficulty to open it. Go to Seneca and initiate the Executioner fight. Defeat the Executioner and interact with the Reconstructed Device to open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 058.

However, the drop rate of the Kyle Stabilizer Blueprint is only 32% so if you didn’t get the blueprint as a reward, you will have to repeat the whole process of getting the Amorphous Material and then opening it by defeating the Executioner on Hard Difficulty.

Once you have got the Blueprint, you can go to Anais and initiate the Research of the Kyle Stabilizer for a cost of 200,000 Gold. It will take 8 hours (Real Time) to complete and then you can claim it.

How to Get Kyle Code

The final Research Material for unlocking Kyle is the Kyle Code. To get Kyle Code, you will first have to get Amorphous Material Pattern: 073. Amorphous Material Pattern: 073 has a drop rate of 5% – 25% on Hard Difficulty and is obtained by completing the Lost Supply Depot: Vulgus Strategic Outpost mission located in the Vespers region.

Once you have obtained the Amorphous Material, the next step is to complete the Void Fusion Reactor mission in the Lost Supply Depot area of the Kingston region. It requires 38x Polymer Void Shard and 7x Organic Void Shard which are obtained by destroying the Void Fragments. Defeat the elite enemy spawn by activating the Void Fusion Reactor and then interact with the Reconstructed Device to open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 073 and hopefully get the Kyle Code.

However, Kyle Code has a 20% chance of dropping so If you don’t get the Kyle Code, you will have to repeat the whole process of getting the Amorphous Material and then completing the Void Fusion Reactor mission on Hard Difficulty.

Research Descendant: Kyle

After obtaining all 4 required materials for unlocking Kyle, head back to Albion and speak with Anais. Select the Descendant option and then select Kyle. Researching Kyle will cost you all 4 materials and 400,000 Gold.

Begin Researching for Kyle and it will take 16 hours (Real Time) for the research to be complete. Fortunately, the timer goes on even if you are offline so you will most likely use Kyle the next day. However, you can immediately complete the research by spending 240 Caliber (premium currency).
