The Common Bark Cicada is one of the common bugs in the game that spawns during morning and day (3 AM – 6 PM) in-game time in the Bahari Fields and Forests sitting on any Heartwood Tree. You have a chance of finding one out in the open while traversing the open fields or on top of the cliffs in Bahari Bay. However, the fields and cliffs in the northern areas have a higher chance of finding it such as Flooded Steps, Proudhorn Pass, The Outskirts, and Thorny Thicket.
How to Catch Common Bark Cicada in Palia
Catching the Common Bark Cicada is easier than other bugs as it can be found sitting on Small, Medium, and Large Heartwood Trees. They are easy to spot and while passing through the Heartwood trees during morning and daytime, look around the trees to spot one.
Additionally, stunning the Common Bark Cicada will require multiple Smoke Bombs so, make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Common Bark Cicada gets alerted, it will try to flee by flying around. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it.
Once you have stunned the Common Bark Cicada, simply go near it and interact with it to pick it up. The Common Bark Cicada also has a chance of dropping a Hemitomes Flower when picked up.

Common Bark Cicada can be sold for 21 Gold (Base) and 31 Gold (Star Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin.
