The new free-to-play Looter Shooter, The First Descendant has received mixed scores combined in all the reviews from its launch on June 30, 2024, making its overall Metascore 57 for PC on Metacritic. If it doesn’t sound bad enough to you then you can compare it with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League which all thought was a failure and Warner Bros. reported a $200 million loss on the game.
Moreover, Suicide Squad only had 13,459 all-time peak players at launch which is 10 times lower than the concurrent players of The First Descendant at this very moment, 155,453. The all-time peak players of The First Descendant stand at 264,860.
Now, if we talk about the actual Metascore of The First Descendant, it, without doubt, has gone worse, but if we speak about the actual players, the numbers show that it isn’t as bad as it has been receiving scores and reviews.
Hundreds of thousands of players are playing The First Descendant daily on PC excluding the players on consoles who all seem to love the gameplay and grind.
The First Descendant is available free on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
