An upcoming action role-playing game based on a 16th-century classical Chinese novel, Journey to the West called Black Myth: Wukong has almost entered a one-month prior release time. From its initial gameplay reveal back on August 20, 2020, several revealed trailers and snippets have been shown throughout the years.

Moreover, Game Science, (developer and publisher of Black Myth: Wukong) also debuted a playable demo for the game at Gamescom 2023 in which several journalists took part and tested it for themselves. The reviews regarding the 2-hour demo were mostly positive with one common key point, a lot of boss encounters.

According to Lunatic Ignus on Twitter/X, he shared information about the game having 80+ Bosses and 160+ Enemy Types which is an incredible thing for a linear-action-adventure game, and the journalists who tested the game state that there are very few encounters with the enemies and more encounters with the bosses. According to them, there isn’t much gap between boss fights as you pursue the given linear path.

With this information, fans are both worried and stoked about Black Myth: Wukong and the one thing that they seek now more than ever is a Public Demo release for the game to test out the game by themselves so that they can make a decision of pre-ordering the game or purchasing it when it comes out.

Moreover, Lunatic Ignus also posted on X regarding the public demo that July should be the definitive month for the demo but there isn’t any confirmation yet.

“A public demo for “Black Myth: Wukong” is yet to be confirmed, July should be the definitive month, but i can’t confirm that yet, it could be sooner.”

Now, that the release time for the game is almost a month away, players are not sure if they even get a chance to play the demo before the game comes out. However, there is some still hope among the fans as they are hoping for Game Science to follow the steps of Capcom and release the public demo like Capcom did for Resident Evil 4 Remake just 15 days before launch.

For now, there isn’t any confirmation regarding the public demo release for Black Myth: Wukong from Game Science.

Black Myth: Wukong releases on August 20, 2024, on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games) with the Xbox Series X|S version slated for a later release.
