Infernal Hordes Activity of Diablo 4 Season 5 Includes A Fiery Version of The Butcher

Diablo 4 offers over 60 boss fights including the main campaign, Strongholds, Dungeons, and Uber fights throughout the World of Sanctuary. As new bosses are introduced in each season like the new Uber Boss named Duriel in Season 4: Loot Reborn, players are interested in what new bosses they will see in the upcoming Season 5.

Burning Butcher in Infernal Hordes in Season 5 of Diablo 4

One of the confirmed bosses in Season 5 is Fell Council who players will encounter after surviving seemingly endless waves of Hell’s Hordes at the end of the new activity called Infernal Hordes in the Realm of Hatred. Moreover, besides the newest boss encounters in Infernal Hordes, players will also encounter a familiar face buffed with a fiery personality, The Butcher.  

The Butcher is known as one of the most difficult and surprising bosses in Diablo 4 due to his off-timing appearances in the dungeons on rare occasions, but he is still beatable with various techniques that you can find out on this link. However, The Butcher in Season 5 is stronger than the base game and there are no arches and pillars to outsmart him. The name of this fiery Butcher is Burning Butcher and he is a part of the waves of Hell’s Hordes making players face him to clear the wave and move to the next one.

During the Infernal Hordes, the Burning Butcher will spawn randomly throughout the several waves and there is no current speculation on how strong he is and what new attacks he got, but a Twitch streamer named Rizarjay encountered Burning Butcher on Wave 5 of Infernal Hordes. As it was in the early stage of the activity, the overall difficulty was lower which made Rizarjay’s Barbarian Build defeat Burning Butcher in 3-4 attacks.

Facing the Burning Butcher in later waves with a higher difficulty will probably be a lot tougher, but we will have to see it for ourselves when Season 5 comes out on August 6, 2024.
