Each Diablo season sticks around a period of 3 months making Season 4 end on August 6, 2024, which indicates the start of Season 5. As the new season starts on the same date as the expiration of the previous season, players can expect the start of Season 5 on August 6, 2024.
Furthermore, with the announcement of the first Diablo 4 expansion called Vessel of Hatred coming on October 8, 2024, Season 5 will be the final season before the launch of the expansion. Moreover, the launch of expansion also reveals that Season 5 will be the shortest season of Diablo 4 with a period of 2 months instead of 3.
Expected Features of Diablo 4 Season 5
With the Season 5 PTR (Public Test Realm), the players have experienced several features from which the new activity, Infernal Hordes stands on top. Infernal Hordes is an endgame mode in which players will face seemingly endless waves of Hell’s Legions in the Realm of Hatred. The Realm of Hatred is accessed by using a key item called Infernal Compass granted by defeating endgame bosses and Helltides.
Furthermore, surviving through the waves of Hordes will also let you encounter a brand-new seasonal boss at the end called Fell Council. Apart from this activity, there is a new rare boss like The Butcher, and several new Uniques and Legendary Aspects that players can pick up to enhance their gear.
