The First Descendant Upgrading Ultimate Weapons

Apart from the Transcendent rarity, Ultimate weapons are some of the strongest firearms around for your Descendant. All weapons begin at level 1, which means they have to be upgraded from the get-go. You don’t really want to be running around the open-world as a level 38 Descendant with a measly level 1 weapon, even if it’s an Ultimate. So, the first port of call is to upgrade it!

How to Upgrade Ultimate Weapons

Take a look at your in-game map and look for an outpost. This can be any outpost, so you don’t have to look for one in particular! When you’re at an outpost, you can use the Repair Station Workbench which is located somewhere around the area. It’s a piece of machinery that has a screen at the front and robotic tools above a small raised metal platform.

Interacting with this workbench opens up different options, such as unique ability enhancements, weapon level transmissions, weapon readjustments, and reactor enhancements. The option you need to click is the Weapon Level Transmission!

Select the weapon you want to upgrade. In this case, it’s an Ultimate rarity weapon. Next, choose a weapon that you want to use in the transmission. This can be any weapon, as long as it isn’t a super rare one. Just focus on using the weapons you no longer want. It’s a good way to get rid of the more common weapons that you don’t use anymore.

Before you can transmit the weapon though, you must have Phase Exchangers or Precision Phase Exchangers. They can be researched and crafted by talking to Anais in Albion! To check the research requirements, hover over the one you need! The majority of them require Liquid Metal, which is obtained when dismantling weapons.
