Crystallization Catalyst is one of the Ultimate Enhanced Materials in The First Descendant that is essential for making your Descendants and weapons more powerful. However, as it is an end-game material, getting it can be tricky or even pricy.
This guide will help you how to get and farm Crystallization Catalyst in The First Descendant.
How to Get the Crystallization Catalyst in The First Descendant
The Crystallization Catalyst can be obtained from two different methods in The First Descendant including purchasing it with Caliber (premium currency) and researching it with the required Research Materials.
Purchasing the Crystallization Catalyst
The first method which is probably the most expensive one is purchasing the Crystallization Catalyst from the in-game Shop. It costs 300 Caliber for one Crystallization Catalyst which rounds up to five dollars. If you are someone who doesn’t like to farm or wait for the items to be researched then you can probably follow this method to purchase it.
Researching the Crystallization Catalyst
The second and probably the best method is to research it at Anais with the required Research Materials.
8x Murky Energy Residue
22x Macromolecule Biogel
8x Mixed Energy Residue
18x Advanced Neural Circuit
1x Crystallization Catalyst Blueprint
The first four materials are obtained from completing various missions and you can check the Inquisition Info for all of these materials to farm them. However, the most tricky material is the blueprint as it requires you to get one of the many Amorphous Material Patterns and then defeat a respective Intercept Boss to have a chance of getting one.
Moreover, once you have all the research materials, you can begin the research for the Crystallization Catalyst for a cost of 187,500 Gold and it will take 7 hours and 30 minutes to complete.
How to Farm the Crystallization Catalyst in the First Descendant
The farming method of the Crystallization Catalyst involves researching it by getting tons of research materials including the blueprint. Now, for most of the materials, make sure to farm the missions you see fit to get as many as you please. After that, when it comes to getting the Amorphous Material that contains the blueprint, we recommend you go for the Amorphous Materials Pattern: 003 or 004.
Look at the Inquisition Info for both of these material patterns, select the one you find the easiest, and then farm the mission repeatedly until you have around 3-5 Amorphous Material Patterns. The reason why we suggested these material patterns is because both of them require Grave Walker Intercept Battle to open. As Grave Walker is the first boss of the game, you will be able to eliminate him in under a minute making it a faster run for opening the Amorphous Material Patterns and hopefully getting the Crystallization Catalyst Blueprint.
However, keep in mind that all of the Amorphous Material Patterns that include the blueprint only have a drop rate of 15% so it is possible that you don’t get it on your first try and have to repeat the process a few times. But with multiple material patterns at your disposal, you can run the Grave Walker fight repeatedly to get the blueprint quickly.
After getting the blueprint, make sure that you have the rest of the materials to initiate the research of the Crystallization Catalyst at Anais.
