The Divine Punishment is one of the best Ultimate Weapons in The First Descendant that players can use to take down bosses more quickly and even hold the waves easily in Special Operations missions. However, it is one of the mid/late-game weapons, and unlocking it requires four different Research Materials.
This guide will help you how to unlock the Divine Punishment weapon in The First Descendant.
How to Unlock the Divine Punishment Ultimate Weapon in The First Descendant
Unlocking the Divine Punishment Ultimate Weapon requires you to research it at Anais and unlike early-game Ultimate Weapons, the Research Materials for this weapon aren’t obtained directly from completing the missions. Instead, you will have to research each Research Material of Divine Punishment to finally be able to Research the weapon itself.
All the Research Materials required for Divine Punishment are the following.
Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium
Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber
Divine Punishment Nano Tube
Divine Punishment Blueprint
Now, each Research Material requires a respective blueprint which you need to get along with the rest of the resources to complete its research. Below, you will find the method to get each Research Material for Divine Punishment.
How to Get Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium
The resources required for researching Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium are the following.
143x Superfluid
125x Monomolecular Extractor
15x Inorganic Biogel
1x Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium Blueprint
Out of all these resources, the blueprint is the trickiest to get as others can be obtained from simply looting the chests. To get the Blueprint, you will have to first get one of the Amorphous Material Patterns that includes its blueprint, and then do an intercept boss battle to open the Amorphous Material by interacting with the Reconstructed Device at the end.
However, there are various Amorphous Material Patterns, and the best one that you can get is the Amorphous Material Pattern: 038. It has a drop rate of 54% and you can get it by clearing the first wave in the White-night Gulch Kuiper Mine Blockade mission. It is a Special Operations mission and unlocking it will require you to first unlock the White-night Gulch region.
Once you have the Amorphous Material, go to Seneca and initiate the Pyromaniac Boss Battle. Defeat the Pyromaniac and then interact with the Reconstructed Device to get the Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium Blueprint. However, it only has a drop rate of 38% so you might have to repeat the process of getting Amorphous Material and defeating Pyromaniac a few times before you get your hands on it.
Upon getting the blueprint, head to Anais and begin the research of the Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium. The research will cost 50,000 Gold and will take 2 hours (real time) to complete. Once it has been completed, you can claim it to get the material.
How to Get Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber
The resources required for researching Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber are the following.
97x Hardener
91x Nanopolymers
8x Inorganic Encrypted Neural Circuit
1x Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint
Out of all these resources, the blueprint is the trickiest to get as others can be obtained from simply looting the chests. To get the Blueprint, you will have to first get the Amorphous Material Pattern: 010 which is obtained by completing the Unknown Laboratory mission in Sterile Land. After that, go to Seneca and initiate the Stunning Beauty boss fight. Defeat the Stunning Beauty and then open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 010 by interacting with the Reconstructed Device. It will have a 38% chance of dropping the Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint so if you didn’t get it on your first try, you will have to repeat the process a few more times to get it.
Upon getting the blueprint, head to Anais and begin the research of the Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber. The research will cost 50,000 Gold and will take 2 hours (real time) to complete. Once it has been completed, you can claim it to get the material.
How to Get Divine Punishment Nano Tube
The resources required for researching Divine Punishment Nano Tube are the following.
72x Semi-permanent Plasma
60x Compound Coating Material
6x Divided Plasma Battery
1x Divine Punishment Nano Tube Blueprint
Out of all these resources, the blueprint is the trickiest to get as others can be obtained from simply looting the chests. To get the Blueprint, you will have to first get the Amorphous Material Pattern: 022 which is obtained by completing the Seed Vault mission in Echo Swamp. After that, go to Seneca and initiate the Dead Bride boss fight. Defeat the Dead Bride and then open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 022 by interacting with the Reconstructed Device. It will have a 38% chance of dropping the Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint so if you didn’t get it on your first try, you will have to repeat the process a few more times to get it.
Upon getting the blueprint, head to Anais and begin the research of the Divine Punishment Nano Tube. The research will cost 50,000 Gold and will take 2 hours (real time) to complete. Once it has been completed, you can claim it to get the material.
How to Get Divine Punishment Blueprint
Getting the Divine Punishment Blueprint will require a bit more farming but it is relatively quicker than the rest of the materials. To get started, you need to first get the Amorphous Material Patter: 014 by completing the Lost Supply Depot: Vulgus Strategic Outpost mission in the Vespers region. It only has a drop rate of 20% meaning you will have to farm this mission a few times to get your hands on a couple of Amorphous Material Patterns: 014.
After getting the Amorphous Material, you need to complete the Void Fusion Reactor located on the northern side of the Lost Supply Depot area. Head over to the Void Fusion Reactor and activate it using the required Void Shards to summon an enemy commander. Defeat the enemy commander and then interact with the Reconstructed Device to open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 014 to have a chance of getting the Divine Punishment Blueprint. Keep in mind that it only has a 15% chance of dropping the blueprint so you might have to farm this process a few times before you finally get it.
Research Divine Punishment Ultimate Weapon
After obtaining all 4 required materials for unlocking the Divine Punishment, head back to Albion and speak with Anais. Select the Weapon option and then select The Divine Punishment. Researching The Divine Punishment will cost you all 4 materials and 100,000 Gold.
Begin Researching for The Divine Punishment and it will take 4 hours (Real Time) for the research to be complete. Fortunately, the timer will continue even if you go offline and you will be able to claim the reward of The Divine Punishment exactly after 4 hours.
