Zenless Zone Zero offers various types of currencies with each one used for certain actions and purchasing items. Out of all the types of currencies in the game, Polychrome is by far the most important one as it is used for purchasing Master Tapes which are essential for pulling the characters and the weapons from various banners in the Banner Page.

However, Master Tapes aren’t cheap as each one costs 160 Polychromes so you must learn all the ways to get as many Polychromes as you can while progressing in the main story. This guide will help you how to get Polychromes in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ).

How to Get Polychromes in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)

Complete the Main Story Commissions

The first and probably the best method to get the Polychromes early is through completing the main story commissions in the Depp Hollow Dive System. Completing every story commission for the first time will give you a bonus reward of 30 Polychromes. Moreover, if you complete the commissions on Hard Difficulty, you will be rewarded with 20 Polychromes every time.

Complete the Exploration Commissions

Another great way to earn a lot of Polychromes is by completing the Exploration Commissions. You can find them alongside the Story Commissions in the Deep Hollow Dive System and similar to the Story ones, Exploration also grants 30 Polychromes on the first completion. Moreover, switch to the Hard Difficulty to get more Polychromes.

Complete the Combat Commissions

Moreover, while you are pursuing various commission types in the Deep Hollow Dive System, don’t count out the combat as it can also grant you a decent amount of Polychromes. The combat commissions are one of the easiest and quickest tasks to complete as they only require you to take out certain enemies. Completing each combat commission for the first time will grant you 30 Polychromes.

Complete Daily/Weekly Errands

Alongside the commissions, completing Errands will help you greatly in earning Polychromes. There are both daily and weekly Errands that you can complete in return for Polychromes. To complete the Errands, simply select the one you wish to pursue and then complete the required task. Once done, you will earn a certain amount of Engagement Points which you can redeem for Polychromes along with other rewards.

Complete Primer Tasks

Another great way to earn a decent number of Polychromes is by completing the Primer Tasks. You can find these tasks in the Primer section located under the Compendium Tab. Primer works similar to the Handbook feature in Genshin Impact. You can complete a certain number of tasks and as you level up the trial, it will reward you with 50 Polychromes.

Raise License Level in Hollow Zero

Completing the missions of various zones in the Hollow Zero and increasing your Investigation License Level will help you redeem 40 Polychromes after every 2-3 Levels. Moreover, as you complete the missions, they also give a bonus reward of 80 Polychromes on the first completion.

Claim Inter-Knot Level Rewards

If you are increasing your Inter-Knot Level, don’t forget to redeem the rewards for every level up as it can get a high number of Polychromes at reaching certain levels.

Participate in Events

Another great way to earn a high number of free Polychromes is to participate in the Events and complete the required task/mission. The missions in the events are for a limited time so complete the ones with Polychromes as rewards to get yourself some more Polychromes.

Purchase Monochromes to Exchange them for Polychromes

Last but not least, if you want to save up time to get Polychromes, you can spend real money to purchase Monochromes from the Monochrome Market in the Store. Buy any bundle of Monochromes you see promising and then you can exchange the Monochromes for Polychromes. Each Monochrome is equivalent to 1 Polychrome so if you have bought a bundle with thousands of Monochrome, you can get yourself thousands of Polychromes in an instance.
