Exploring the areas of the various regions in The First Descendant will often let you run into large structures with a circular void inside them. These structures are called the Void Fragments and you will be required to destroy them for several missions throughout your journey. However, the Void Fragments are only vulnerable to a certain attribute attack so figuring out the type of damage for it is essential to destroying it.
This guide will help you how to destroy the Void Fragments in The First Descendant.
How to Destroy the Void Fragments in The First Descendant
There are various types of Void Fragments in The First Descendant and each type is differentiated by the type of damage it requires to be destroyed. For most of the early gameplay, you will find Electric or Non-Attribute, but as you progress further, you will also find the Fire ones.
If you hover over the Void Fragment, it will show you the type of attribute it needs for it to be destroyed. Make sure to use the appropriate Descendant according to the Void Fragment you are going to attack and upon attacking it, a few waves of enemy will spawn.
From here, repeat the procedure of defeating the wave of enemies > attacking the fragment > defeating the wave of enemies > attacking the fragment, and as the fragment breaks, it will drop a few numbers of void shards of all types including Organic Void Shards, Inorganic Void Shards, Monomer Void Shards, and Polymer Void Shards.
The Void Shards are essential materials in the game that will allow you to activate the Void Fusion Reactor which allows you to summon a boss through which you can open the Amorphous Material Patterns.
