The First Descendant offers various types of quests throughout the journey which you can complete to progress in the main story and gather materials essential for unlocking more descendants and weapons. Moreover, there are also exclusive quests for certain Descendants that you can pursue and one such quest that you will be able to pursue early in the adventure is Follow Their Traces.

How to Unlock Follow Their Traces Quest
The Follow Their Traces quest is exclusive to Bunny. She is one of the earliest Descendants in the game that you can unlock fairly early. Once you have unlocked Bunny and switched to her, the Follow Their Traces quest becomes available automatically and can be tracked from the Quest tab.
Find and Read the Record in Sterile Land
The record that you need to find for the quest is located in the Restricted Zone area of the Sterile Land region. You will most probably unlock her while you are in the Kingston region and will have to progress in the main story until you unlock Sterile Land and get access to the Restricted Zone area.
Once you are in the Restricted Zone area of the Sterile Land, head to the cliff in the south direction from the Outpost and you will find it at the lower cliff. Moreover, if you read the description of the quest, it says that is near the Jammer. The Jammer is the Void Mission called the Void Fragment and if you head directly south of the Jammer, you will reach the lower cliff where you will find the record.
Upon finding the record/journal, open the Journal tab from the menu, select Records, select Descendant, and then play the record to conclude the quest.
