The First Descendant offers various leveling systems that will grant you certain benefits as you level up in them. Whether it is your Descendant Level or Weapon Proficiency, playing the game and completing the missions will take you to higher levels. Moreover, apart from the regular leveling systems, there is also a Mastery Rank in the First Descendant that grants various benefits to each rank. However, it doesn’t level up itself and requires you to level it up manually at a certain location.
This guide will help you how to level up the Mastery Rank in The First Descendant.
How to Level Up the Mastery Rank in The First Descendant
The Mastery Rank is increased by earning the Mastery Rank EXP which is obtained by clearing the missions for the first time or leveling up the assigned Descendants to Module Slots. As you reach the threshold for the Master Rank, you will receive a message of Level Up the Mastery Rank and you will be able to see it in the menu as well.
However, to Level Up the Mastery Rank, you need to interact with a device called Prime Hands. It is an Arche Factor Manipulator that allows you to level up the Mastery Rank and provides you with the benefits of the achieved level. You can find the Prime Hands in the eastern wing of Albion.
NOTE: If you reach the threshold for the first time and travel back to Albion, a Yellow Marker will appear on your screen. Follow it to reach the Prime Hands.
Once there, interact with the Prime Hands and then select the Mastery Rank Up option to level up to the next level and earn various benefits.
What Benefits Does Mastery Rank Offers?
There are 30 Levels in total for Mastery Rank and each rank offers most of the following rewards.
Descendant Module capacity and slots
Weapon Module capacity and slots
Equipment Inventory slots
Storage slots
Shape Stabilizer Inventory Limit
Tracking Count slots
The ability to upgrade Reactors at a workbench
Weapon transmission
The ability to Combine Modules to level them up
Unlock unique abilities on weapons
Leveling up the Mastery Rank will help you greatly as you progress further into the game, but make sure that you rank up as you reach the threshold for the next level to get all the essential benefits right away.
