How to Get Clay in 7 Days to Die

Clay is obtained by digging any grassy land using the Shovel tool. You can use any Shovel tool like Stone Shovel, Iron Shovel, or Steel Shovel to dig the patches of grassy land and get clay in return. The grassy land is found in abundance in the Pine Forest biome, the starting biome of the game, as well as in the other forest biomes. However, make sure that you don’t dig the Gravel Paths in the forest biomes as they will usually give Sand instead of Clay.

Moreover, if you are in the Snow or the Desert biomes, you will not get Clay by digging the ground but get snow and sand respectively.

How to Get the Shovel Early in 7 Days to Die

Another thing worth mentioning is that you must have a Shovel for you get dig the ground to get clay. The easiest Shovel which you can unlock and craft fairly early in the game is Stone Shovel. You can find the Stone Shovel in the cabins and shacks around the buildings as well as craft it using the following materials.

3x Plant Fiber

3x Wood
