Protecting the Camp quest is one of the main story quests for Mulan’s Realm added with the latest update, the Lucky Dragon in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This guide will walk you through the Protecting the Camp quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete the Protecting the Camp in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
Protecting the Camp quest becomes available during the Clearing the Road quest for Mushu. As you begin the Clearing the Road quest and head out of the camp to see the state of the road, you will get the objective to speak with Mulan which initiates the Protecting the Camp quest.
Fix the Damage from the Landslide
After speaking with Mulan, she will tell you to remove the rocks and the sand piles and gather the broken logs around the area.
Use the Royal Pickaxe to break 7 Rocks.
Use the Royal Shovel to remove 8 Sand Piles.
Interact with the broken logs on the ground to pick them up and use the Royal Fishing Rod to fish out the Broken Logs in the river. Catch 10 Broken Logs in total.
Plant and Water the Tree Seeds
After removing the items from the ground, speak to Mulan and she will give you 10 Tree Seeds. Go over each patch of soil on the ground and interact with it to plant the tree seed. Once you have planted all 10 tree seeds around the area, water the seeds with the Royal Watering Can tool. Now, go back to Mulan and speak with her.
Gather Materials and Craft Sandbags
Gather the following materials.
40x Brown Sand – Foraged from the ground in Mulan’s Realm.
15x Fiber – Crafted at the crafting station with Seaweed.
Upon gathering all the required materials, go to the crafting station and craft 20 Sandbags. You can find the recipe for Sandbags in the Furniture tab of the crafting station. After crafting the Sandbags, go to Mulan and give her the Sandbags. Now, follow Mulan to the tents in the camp and speak with her again.
NOTE: After giving the sandbags to Mulan and speaking with her beside the tents, she will tell you to check in with Mushu. Here, you need to pursue the Clearing the Road quest for Mushu until you help him send out the signals again. Once done, you will be able to continue the Protecting the Camp quest.
Place and Build Mulan and Mushu’s House in the Valley
Speak with Mulan after progressing in the Clearing the Road quest for Mushu and she will tell you to find a home for them in the valley. Go back to the Valley and find a spot for them to place down their house. Open the Furniture Menu and navigate to the Requests section to find Mulan and Mushu’s House.
Place the foundation of the house and then interact with Scrooge’s sign to finish building the house. It will cost you 20,000 Star Coins to finish building Mulan and Mushu’s House.
Welcome Mulan
After building the house for Mulan and Mushu, Mulan will come to the valley. Welcome her by taking a photo with her and then speaking with her to conclude the quest.
Rewards
Completing the Protecting the Camp will unlock Mulan as a villager in the Dreamlight Valley.
